The development team successfully collected seeds of “suji aonori” seaweed, one of the most aromatic types grown in the ocean around Japan, and germinated them into seedlings in the lab. Then, the seedlings are cultured in land-based circular pools filled with pure, mineral-rich underground seawater. This aqua-culture system enables stable water temperatures and optimal sunlight absorption, accelerating growth throughout the year. This ensures the production of the highest quality seaweed while minimizing any impact on the environment.

Extremely aromatic and bright green, Dried Suji Aonori is an excellent garnish for sushi, salad, cold appetizers, noodle soup, toast, and pizza. It can be a perfect mix-in for dressings and sauces as well.

HOW TO USE SUJI AONORI

You can enjoy Dried Suji Aonori’s beautiful aroma and vibrant color when you use it as-is for toppings—it can be a fantastic, eye-catching garnish for sushi, salad, carpaccio, donburi rice bowls, toast, pizza, bruschetta, omelets, grilled dishes, and soup.

It’s easily affected by high heat, so it’s best used at the last step of cooking or right before serving. If you arrange it on top of piping hot noodle soup at the end, you can appreciate its aroma to the fullest and its melting texture as you sip.
