Marukin’s Mentsuyu Ready-to-Use Tsuyu is an umami-packed, soy-based broth for Japanese noodles and tempura.
Bottled mentsuyu (translation: noodle sauce) typically comes in two types, straight or concentrated. This one is the straight type that can be easily used without diluting!
Marukin’s Mentsuyu is made by carefully blending premium soy sauce and exquisite dashi broth crafted with high-grade ingredients sourced from all over Japan, such as bonito flakes from Makurazaki in Kagoshima Prefecture and Yaizu in Shizuoka Prefecture, sardines from Kumamoto Prefecture, and kombu kelp from Hokkaido.
USES:
- cold soup for dipping soba noodles
- warm broth for dipping hot tempura
- soup broth for udon
- use as a base to build your homemade ramen broth
