L.T. Piver - Nohiba - Extrait de Parfum
First launched in 1868 under the leadership of Alphonse Piver, Nohiba is one of L.T. Piver’s treasured heritage fragrances. Now, it marks a new chapter as the first fragrance in the house’s Perfume Extracts collection, presented as an Extrait de Parfum.
Born in an era fascinated by the esoteric and imagined lost civilizations, Nohiba is a fragrance that evokes rather than explains.
The year is 1868. Behind velvet curtains, an esoteric soirée unfolds. Candlelight flickers across a séance table, and Nohiba wears the guise of a classic spicy amber, an elegant vanilla concealed beneath.
Cinnamon and mandarin hold court throughout the evening, familiar figures in a room full of mysteries. Rose, olibanum, and leather drift between the guests, appearing in the candlelight, then slipping back into shadow. From where you watch, it’s difficult to tell whether it’s sleight of hand or something summoned.
As the last light fades in the west, amber retires to a private chamber, leaving vanilla to preside over the gathering. Warm, poised, and quietly beguiling, it was the evening’s true host all along.
The Extrait collection introduces a distinctive brushed matte cap to the house’s iconic bottle.
