ABOUT DANIEL

Daniel was born in a burrow beneath a lavender field in Provence, France. The scent of lavender is the first thing he ever knew, and to this day it is the smell that makes him feel most at home.

He is thoughtful and a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he is the most devoted friend you will ever have. He loves to read, to daydream, and to sit very still in tall grass watching the world go by. He has extraordinarily long ears, which means he hears absolutely everything — every whisper, every secret, every rustle in the wind. He never repeats what he hears. He is very discreet.

His greatest dream is to one day hop all the way to the sea. He has never seen it, but he has heard it described a thousand times, and he is certain it is magnificent.
