Kongo Yamasemi Tenkara Rod
THE ULTIMATE MOUNTAIN FISHING ROD
TENKARA LEVEL: 1 - Perfect for beginners as well as advanced anglers.
The Kongo Yamasemi series was created in partnership with Master angler Takashi Yoshida of the legendary Tenkara gang Yoshida Kebari. The Yamasemi is a rod that has been repeatedly tested and carefully honed down to Takashi's ideal overall length, closing dimension, and fine detail.
This rod is unique in that it makes it possible to keep your swing width small when casting, making it easier to fish mountain streams, and small streams that are surrounded by trees, rocks, or brush. In addition, the rod's rigidity at the tip reduces sluggishness when casting, creating a quick and precise approach for your fly.
The closing size is 11in / 28cm, which is convenient for trekking into mountain streams.
The styling features a bamboo base color that is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese rod, and a Japanese Warbler-inspired color step coating to create a harmonious look.

All Sakura rods are handmade in Japan. Sakura was founded in 1888, and even though the business was washed away twice by the same Edogawa river he fished from, Great-grandfather Jisaburo Sakurai persevered and went on to become the inventor of now-standard fishing rods and techniques used worldwide. Nowadays, Sakura stands as a shining example of Japanese craftsmanship and the joy of sharing Japanese traditions like Tenkara with all who seek them out.
