Earl Grey is black China tea scented with bergamot oil — a pear-shaped citrus fruit grown primarily in Calabria, Italy, with a distinctive floral-citrus aroma unlike any other. It's the bergamot that makes Earl Grey Earl Grey, and it's the bergamot that's at the center of Demeter's version: bright and slightly perfumed over a clean, slightly astringent tea base.
