Art of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki
The Art of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind collects sketches, developmental watercolors, cel animation, and other artwork from Hayao Miyazaki’s 1984 film, which he based on his own manga.
The film is set after a war that caused an ecological disaster. The expanding Sea of Decay is a toxic forest of mutant insects and poisonous spores. Beyond it lies the Valley of the Wind, a kingdom of barely 500 people. Nausicaä risks everything to protect its citizens and restore peace and health to the valley.
