Demeter - Violet

The Scent: Violet is a deep, rich, and alluring staple of the perfumer's palette. Demeter's Violet is completely natural, which inevitably adds greater depth and complexity to the scent. 

The Story: Napoleon's Josephine wore Violet perfume because of one unique quality: the aroma chemical Ionone, present in both violets and irises, which makes the scent note "disappear" to the nose and then "reappear" later. Josephine was the first recorded case of using this lovely trick deliberately to make herself more alluring.
