Amanatsu Orange Syrup
Literally translated as “sweet summer”, amanatsu is a grapefruit-sized Japanese native citrus that exhibits a refreshingly sweet flavor with a touch of bitterness and pleasant sourness.
Seikoba Fruit Garden in Kagoshima Prefecture harvests a generous helping of amanatsu from their orchard, juices it, and blends it with liqueur and sugar from Hokkaido. The result is this superb syrup. It brings you a sweet boost and citrusy zest at the same time. You can use it as a drink by diluting it with water or soda or by adding it to cocktails. The syrup is also great to drizzle on top of desserts like ice cream, yogurt, shaved ice, and pancakes.
